Filtered Local Shading in the Wavelet

چکیده
Many global illumination algorithms generate directionally-and positionally-varying radiance data that then need to be somehow re-sampled and used for nal shading. This operation should lter all light over the incident hemisphere through the BRDF to generate an accurate image. This can be done analytically for simple BRDFs, such as Lambertian or Phong-like BRDFs, but becomes more diicult in the presence of a general BRDF. This paper presents an eecient method to calculate the reeected light in a given direction, ltering over all incident light directions. The method exploits wavelet representations of incident light and of the BRDF to compute the total relfected light in a given direction. For eeciency the incident light is restricted to a Haar transformed representation, while the BRDF can be represented and compressed with any appropriate basis. The method can be used with any system that can generate projections of incident light elds onto Haar wavelet bases.

A new method for calculating earthquake characteristics and nonlinear spectra using wavelet theory
In the present study using the wavelet theory (WT) and later the nonlinear spectrum response of the acceleration (NSRA) resulted in estimating a strong earthquake record for the structure to a degree of freedom. WT was used in order to estimate the acceleration of earthquake mapping with equal sampling method (WTESM). Therefore, at first, the acceleration recorded in an earthquake using WTESM w...
متن کاملA New Method for Multisensor Data Fusion Based on Wavelet Transform in a Chemical Plant
This paper presents a new multi-sensor data fusion method based on the combination of wavelet transform (WT) and extended Kalman filter (EKF). Input data are first filtered by a wavelet transform via Daubechies wavelet “db4” functions and the filtered data are then fused based on variance weights in terms of minimum mean square error. The fused data are finally treated by extended Kalman filter...
متن کاملAn Adaptive Hierarchical Method Based on Wavelet and Adaptive Filtering for MRI Denoising
MRI is one of the most powerful techniques to study the internal structure of the body. MRI image quality is affected by various noises. Noises in MRI are usually thermal and mainly due to the motion of charged particles in the coil. Noise in MRI images also cause a limitation in the study of visual images as well as computer analysis of the images. In this paper, first, it is proved that proba...
متن کاملInteractive Rendering of Wavelet Projected Light Fields
Light field techniques allow the rendering of objects in time complexity unrelated to their geometric complexity. The technique discretely samples the space of light rays exiting the boundary around an object and then reconstructs a requested view from these data. In order to generate high quality images a dense sampling of the space is required which leads to large data sets. These data sets e...
متن کاملA Differential Evolution and Spatial Distribution based Local Search for Training Fuzzy Wavelet Neural Network
Abstract Many parameter-tuning algorithms have been proposed for training Fuzzy Wavelet Neural Networks (FWNNs). Absence of appropriate structure, convergence to local optima and low speed in learning algorithms are deficiencies of FWNNs in previous studies. In this paper, a Memetic Algorithm (MA) is introduced to train FWNN for addressing aforementioned learning lacks. Differential Evolution...
